Getting out of the
house doesn't always mean a long road trip! Most libraries
offer the opportunity to enjoy some ambiance, indoors or out, and to
select a few new books to mentally transport us to other places and
times. Reading is an important activity, but
libraries offer more than books. Not only can you find movies on
video and DVD, books on tape, and magazines, but your local library has
classes, story times, and other special events. Locals can check it out
