Homeschooling
today is a whole different proposition than it was ten or even five
years ago. Now, we have all the amenities of the world wide web at
our disposal -- online encyclopedias, maps, libraries, grade level
standards, lesson plans, support groups, legal information, and much
more. Discovering everything that's out there is as much of an
adventure as homeschooling itself! And while it may seem a bit
overwhelming at first, think of it this way: what a great opportunity
to model the process of being a life-long learner!
Of
course, no one likes to feel overwhelmed. So if web surfing (or
homeschooling) is new to you, let this webpage be your jumping off
point, a way to dip your toes in the vast and exciting sea of
information that awaits you. Here you will find a useful but
manageable selection of recommended books and hyperlinked information
for those who have made -- or are considering making -- the
homeschooling choice.
