123 Science --
Science Activities for Working With Young Children
Written by Gayle Bittinger. Illustrated by Marion Hopping Ekberg (A Totline Book)

I love this book! Lots of great, yet fairly simple ideas for hands-on activities in the realm of science. Many of these are also great sensory activities as well. Claims to be for ages 3-6, but many of them are adaptable for 2's and toddlers.

Learning & Caring About Our World
By Gayle Bittinger. Illustrated by Kathy Jones (A Totline Book)

Great ideas for theme-based learning that centers around the Earth and the elements (air, water, earth..) that compose it. Activities designed to teach nature appreciation, early earth science, and pollution prevention actions/attitudes.

Mudpies & Magnets

A favorite for preschool science curriculum.

Another good one, if you can find it, is Rub A Dub Dub, Science In The Tub -- the activities of which can be done in your school water table.

Toddlers Together -- The Complete Guide For A Toddler Curriculum.
Written by Cynthia Catlin, published by Gryphon House.

An excellent book for a toddler curriculum. All the great ideas in this book are clearly marked as to earliest appropriate age.

Many curriculum "idea books" can be found in your local library -- saving you the expense of purchasing them. (It also gives you the chance to see if it would be worth the investment.) Ask your librarian where to find them -- but usually they are in the parent's reference book section.
